Croatia 2025
Getting to Croatia from Indianapolis is a trip in itself. Indy to Chicago. Chicago to London. London to Split, Croatia. We flew business class on British Air, so we had access to several very nice Flagship lounges along the way. The pod seating (with lay-flat bed) makes all the difference! We flew into Split a couple days early to get to explore the City and get acclimated to the time change. Penny flew in on the same day. Once we finally found her AirBNB, we had a lovely, relaxing evening exploring the old section of the city (the old palace). Jeremy and Leonard arrived the next day, so we gave them a guided tour of the palace before we found a nice restaurant in the town center for dinner and drinks. We then had to meet at the harbor bus station to get a transfer to Trogir (where our ship was docked). Once we boarded the Admiral, we got settled and unpacked in our staterooms for the week aboard our yacht.
8-days and 7 nights cruising around the islands of Croatia is the best way to see the country. We had lovely city tours, swim stops, and amazing restaurants. With 6 Michelin star restaurants in a row along the waterfront, Korcula is once again my favorite stops along the way. The food is amazing. The views are amazing. We wrapped up our cruise in Dubrovnik, but we extended our stay in the old town for a few more days. We rented a Villa- one of the most beautifully designed villas I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was phenominal!
